Bringing new kinds of clothes to men: supporting independent makers
At Handsome Fella we are excited to begin bringing clothes to our customers for the first time. We started off working with independent makers and creators of various types of grooming products. Allowing these fantastic brands to show off their own products. Now we want to do the same for independent brands, makers, and creators of clothing.
Handsome Fella is more than anything else, a male lifestyle brand that operates as a marketplace and retailer. We want to support makers that are committed to creating products to a higher quality, made in an ethical way that stand out from the crowd, items that you won't typically find on the high street.
We want to make a special effort to give men the option of buying quality goods not made in a factory on the other side of the world but instead made in the UK and closer to home to a high standard. This will be good for the world, reducing the carbon footprint the clothes industry makes. But it will also give men a product of higher quality that they can keep wearing for longer, moving away for the fast fashion business model that so much of the clothing industry relies on.
When we do work with smaller and independent brands that make clothes in other parts of the world we will only do so if those brands are committed to high environmental and social standards and have a good reason for having their clothes created where they do.
We're excited to offer men different kinds of products to what they may often find in other shops and we particularly want to make men feel a greater personal connection to the items they wear. Knowing that they are supporting amazing teams of individuals that care passionately about what they do and create when they wear their items.
